A lot of songs have been teaching kids how to spell recently. Maybe it started back with Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas. Though they did spell "tasty" with an extra "e" in fergalicious (tak cayer, cuba dengar balik). The fad may have started ages earlier, but there was quite a long pause til the BEPs brought it back. Then Gwen Stefani taught people how to spell "bananas", Danity Kane's "Damaged" and Natasha Bedingfield's "Angel".
The most recent lesson comes from good ol' Britney Spears. But she covers up the spelling by pronouncing each letter to make them into a sentence. Here, check it out.
I first heard about this song from the newspaper this morning. The article was about parents asking for the song to be banned from public radio. I couldn't really understand it. All I had to work with was the title of the song. So I googled the lyrics. It's weird, there wasn't really any profanity or anything in it.
Until I realized "All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy".
