yeah, i'm old. Quarter of a century. How depressing.
At least I'll be married soon (in case anyone hadn't heard). Not many still read this blog, so I'm pretty sure writing this here won't freak anyone out. :P
The following is a list of 25 (because I'm 25) things I've done within the past year, a post suggested from someone who wanted me to write something more cheerful in my blog, and the above is just one of the 25. Now, in no particular order:
1. Survived Australia & New Zealand. Not sure if I can call it my Walkabout. :P I'm also omitting all the stuff I did there from this list.
2. Went to Alia's Family Day at Bukit Gambang, which included a "treasure hunt" where we needed to get names of places/signs based on the riddles they gave. My recent experience with puzzles from Professor Layton did not help. The gang we went with was fun though, it's been a long time since I hung out with a new 'cool' gang.
3. Did an actual freelance job. For years, I've been telling people that I do freelance, but only recently did I do an actual freelance job and got paid by a company. :D
4. Gym! Bodypump!
5. Burger King RM1 Whopper (or RM13 for 3 burgers + 3 regular soft drinks)
Alright, this is starting to be harder than I thought. I'm trying my best not to mention work, toys and games here.
6. Bought Paramore tickets! There'd be more to talk about once I actually go to the concert, a week from now.
7. I don't think I mentioned this anywhere, but my darling future wife bought me a new camera exactly 365 days ago to replace the one that malfunctioned during our trip to Fraser Island. She is so awesome. No wonder we're getting married. :)
8. Went to an orchestra! Video Games Live. Did I mention this at all in my blog? Also the game-ish adventure that followed after the show.
9. Went to an Indian engagement ceremony. At an Indian temple. Took a video walking around in the temple :P Padahal the ceremony was in the hall right beside the temple...
10. Not sure if there's anything to be said about Raya this year. The open house was ok, went to Nora's engagement before that.
11. My niece is growing up. :D She's started to salam, but doesn't really respond when I call her name. I also got a hug from her recently, so that's cool. :D
12. Kursus Kahwin: Done. We just haven't picked up the sijil yet. We spent quite some time pictochatting in class with DSes. Twas fun. :D And we understood each others' jawi writing. Except when Alia wrote "po po po poker face" in jawi. I read it as pu pu pu pukar fach. Apa letak huruf cha pasal originally huruf C.
13. Oklah, one mention about work. It's at the workplace, but it's not really my scope of work, so I'm not sure this qualifies as a "work" thing. I used a drill at work to install some stuff in their cupboards. Dunno why I always freak out when I drill in the first screw. Huhuhu. (I did this for 2 days, and both times, freaked out when screwing the first screw.) Also made a lot of dirty jokes while screwing the thing.
14. Me and Alia went to Cameron Highlands a few months back. It was definitely nice to get away from KL for a while. Wasn't really nice that we drove for many kilometers before realising it was the wrong way and had to return to KL to get on the right track.
15. Went to a wedding at Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara. Copied from my Twitter: it was basically "do you?" "i do." "do you?" "i do." *sign papers* "you're man and wife." *applause*
16. Went to MATTA Fair to book our Phuket honeymoon. :D
17. Bought a Paint-by-numbers set from the Curve and made it a couple's project. We just finished it recently, I'll get the picture uploaded here eventually.
18. Another couple's project we did was also something we bought from the Curve. We got one of those word search books and progress is... really slow. But it has given us plenty of entertainment since we got it some months back.
19. Mydeal.com.my, a website that gives discounts for various places around KL (and some other areas) gave out vouchers for a fancy lunch at Bangsar Shopping Centre for RM26 (original price was double). It was ok, at least we tried something new. Seats were not made for comfort, but service was quite helpful and friendly. One actually tried to fix a shaky table where we were seated. He didn't manage to fix it, but it was nice seeing him "try". :P
20.
ok, so it's almost midnight and i didn't manage to finish writing 25 things. I guess not much good stuff happened this past year. sigh. Or maybe I just wrote everything in that post about Aus and NZ. :D
I'll just have to make up for the lack of these 5 next year then. Huhuhuhu.....
