If they make an error, the most you'll get from them is excuses. The more you complain, the more you get.
The only place where I actually got more than just excuses is at Tony Roma's. But only if the manager approaches you. Twice we got a bonus dish. The first time, we got salad. The second, we got dessert.
But every other place, excuses. No matter how much you have suffered. No matter what long-winded story you tell.
Once we ordered a burger from a McDonalds Drive-thru (Kuchai Lama).
What they forgot: the meat patty.
When we realised it: When we got home.
What we got when we went back to complain: A replacement burger with a side of excuses. And they forgot the apology.
Today we ordered pizza at 7.30pm. The order said it'd arrive in half an hour.
8.15: A call from Pizza Hut saying they made the wrong pizza so they'll send the right one and it'll arrive in 10-15 minutes.
8.40: Pizza arrives. One of them was wrong. I asked questions. I got excuses. He said he came from the Sri Petaling Pizza Hut though.
We called them back after that to complain. They said they'd send a new pizza to replace the wrong one. It is now 9.00. We just got it. The guy didn't say anything. Malu perhaps? Or just no more excuses to give. Excellent.

I've a feeling they were lying the first time they called and said they "wrongly made" our order. It was just a sorry excuse because they obviously needed more time to sort their heads out to begin with. Why else would they send us the wrong pizza after specifically saying they realised that at the start?
